Osteopathy

A drug free, non-invasive form of manual therapy.

Osteopathy is a health-care system of diagnosis and treatment involving manual techniques such as massage, stretch, muscle energy techniques and articulation of joints, as well as exercises, all tailored to suit the individual.

The aim of osteopathic treatment is to enable the body to return to normal function by removing barriers to recovery. This in turn can help reduce pain and prevent further problems from developing.

Osteopaths are highly trained in identifying these barriers to recovery, which may be physical, occupational or lifestyle related, and advising clients on self-management strategies to avoid the problem recurring.
